Edison Job Corps Academy had another successful Community Relations Luncheon attended by over 80 participants. Agenda included a welcome from Center Director, Jibu Kuruvilla; an update on current Job Corps activities from Deputy Director, Marianne Arkush and a presentation by our Guest Speaker, Eric Duchin who spoke about the benefits of utilizing Social Media. The presentation was a hit as everyone wanted to learn how to utilize Facebook, Twitter and especially LinkedIn to connect with others on a professional level. It was a great event as community members, including employers, the Assistant to the Edison Mayor, school & DOL representatives, non-profits and others were excited to learn about initiatives taken at our academy and the great work our students do. Culinary Arts students, as always, did an outstanding job preparing and serving the luncheon. We all look forward to hosting another luncheon in the fall!
