Sharon Barnett, Edison Job Corps (EJC) graduate from A+/MCTS was recently hired by RICOH Professional Service. She was an outstanding student while she was attending EJC and staff is very pleased with her professional growth. With permission received from Ms. Barnett it is our pleasure to share an excerpt of the email she sent to her former A+/MCTS Instructor, Mr. Alpesh Patel:

“I know that this email is long over-due, and that is because I didn’t want to create an air of false hope.

But it is now official; I have earned permanent employment with Ricoh USA.　 I am a full time Fleet Manager.This contract with Ortho McNeil Pharmaceuticals Johnson & Johnson involves maintaining 170 Ricoh printers and a few Xerox printers as well.　

 The work does not require involve heavy IT knowledge. The training strongly focuses on web applications.　 The physical work involves the printers. I deal with moveable parts and consumables. 　

 More good news tonight is the first Net+ class funded by Ricoh-USA.　 This is a once a week course estimated to last for about 13 weeks.When I become certified then there will be a chance that I can apply for a Technician position within Ricoh (Level 2).　

 I hope all is well with the classes!　I wish the students all the best of luck.
