Face of Job Corp: Aaron B.

Aaron B. grew up in a tough neighborhood in a single parent household.  Because of this negative environment, he felt that he didn’t have much of a future so he came to the Edison Job Corps Center in hopes of better opportunities and more direction.  Since his move to Job Corps Aaron has:

• Completed Business Technology trade with all certifications
• Obtained Microsoft Certified Professional Certification
• Worked at Edison Job Corps promoting the Equal Opportunity Policy and mentored younger students
• Completed 30 College Credits with a major in computer science at various local community colleges
• Received a position at JP Morgan as an IT Technician and currently serving as an IT Administrator for the Dept of Labor in  Lower Manhattan
• Received Lions Club Academic Scholarship
• Plans to obtain a Master’s Degree in IT and Public Speaking to further his career and combine his two passions: computers and public speaking
