April 8, 2011 – Edison Job Corps students always seek for ways to get involved in community and to participate in learning service activities. One of them is annual Edison Chamber of Commerce fundraiser “Taste of Middlesex.” This year, Culinary Arts students had an opportunity to once again showcase their culinary skills and offer a selection of mouthwatering food selection along with 51 other beverage and food vendors who were present at the Pines Manor in Edison, NJ. In addition eight culinary arts students helped out the Pines Manor staff during the event to ensure that everyone of the 800 attendees had a pleasant experience. This event was captured by the Edison TV and is currently showcased on their local channel 15. Anyone who is interested to see our students and others in action can reach out to the Edison Township and ask for a copy of the DVD for a small fee. Photos from the event can be accessed at the http://www.app.com/apps/pbcs.dll/gallery?Site=CN&Date=20110323&Category=MULTIMEDIA02&ArtNo=103230801&Ref=PH. Our students are featured on photo number 21.
