March 1, 2021 – Edison Job Corps Academy is proud to embark on a new service project to improve literacy in our community by collecting books for the Edison Housing Authority and Zone 6 teen center during the month of March. This is one of four service projects the Edison Job Corps Academy will participate in 2021 to celebrate Management & Training Corporation’s (MTC) 40th anniversary! In 1981, MTC was founded with a mission to help at-risk, underserved men and women change their lives through education and training.
“We’re so excited promote literacy in the community” says Business Community Liaison, Julia R. Gibson “MTC was founded on the principles of helping others change their lives through education and training—and literacy is key to that mission.”
At the end of book drive, the Edison Job Corps Academy will tally up the number of books that were donated and deliver them to Zone 6 Teen Center and Edison Housing Authority on March 31, 2021.
