April 22, 2018-  The BCL and Recreation Specialist along with 7 Edison Job Corps students celebrated Earth Day at Papaianni Park. This day is celebrated each year to inspire awareness of and appreciation for the Earth’s environment.  The Edison Job Corps Academy was proud to support the community. The Job Corps students also received 5 trees to plant at  Edison in support of this day. This will remind students about the threats the planet faces and ways to help protect the environment. Not only is volunteering important to bridge the gap between the community and Edison Job Corps it also serves to help students get in engaged with the surrounding area and to build upon their experience while attending Edison Job Corps Academy.
