Through the partnership with the American Red Cross students have donated blood at our 3rd blood drive for the year of 2010. Sixty one pints of blood were collected and students did an amazing job recruiting others, educating prospective donors about the need to donate blood and who can and cannot be a donor, and double counting donations. Posters were placed throughout the campus along with stories of how blood donations saved lives. “Repeat donors” played a vital role in encouraging the first time donors to participate in this worthy cause. Another blood drive will take place on December 2, 2010.
