On October 19,2011 the Detroit Job Corps Center Kitchen Committee trainees and staff representing various trades volunteered at New Light Nursing Home playing Bingo, puzzles and card game with the senior residents. On October 31,2011 , the  Detroit Job Corps Center trainees were invited to return to  New Light Nursing Home to help with their Halloween Dance. Trainees helped to serve dinner, played Bingo  and danced with the seniors.
