During the Detroit Job Corps Center’s Anti-Violence/Anti-Bullying Awareness Week, the Detroit City Council presented Job Corps with the ” Spirit of Detroit Award” and the “Award of Recognition” on October 6,2015 for their outstanding efforts in bringing attention to the warning signs and effects of violence and bullying. They also received Certificate of Appreciations from:City Council Pro Tem, George Cushingberry; Congressman John Conyers; Congressman Sandy Levin; Chief of Police, James Craig; Wayne County Executive, Warren Evans; The Detroit Regional Chambers; United States Senators, Debbie Dingell and Gary Peters and the City of Detroit Mayor, Mike Duggan.
