On June 9,2011, the City of Detroit Mayor, Mr. Dave Bing, Wayne County Executive , Mr. Robert Ficano, and Detroit City Council President, Mr. Charles Pugh visited and toured the Detroit Job Corps Center (DJCC).   The purpose of the visit was to review and discuss  preliminarily architectural designs for the construction of new dormitories and Center’s site improvements.   Trainees facilitated the Center tour and held group discussions about their life at the DJCC and their career goals. This project will be funded  by the Department of Labor.
