Snow didn’t stop many of the community veterans as they enjoyed a morning of coffee and snacks and remembered their military service. Stories were shared. Memories of hard times, great friendships, and outstanding valor were talked about. Students and staff thanked this group for their service to our country. In observance of Veterans Day, this has become a yearly event. Visitors were proud to have their name on a star and displayed in the cafeteria. The pride in having served this country was heartwarming to hear. Later, students of the Denison Job Corps helped set up for the annual Crawford County Veterans Dinner. They also assisted our former soldiers as they enjoyed the dinner prepared especially in their honor.
