January nights are long and cold in Iowa.  Residents look for ways to warm both the body and soul.  January 28 provided such an event when the local scouting troops hosted their annual fund raiser.  Chili was on the minds of all.  Students of the Denison Job Corps’ Culinary Arts program prepared chicken chili for the occasion.  Ingredients were donated by the local Hy-Vee Store.  The warm concoction raised money for both the Boy and Girl Scouts.  The annual fund-raiser provides a great community get-together for young and old alike.
