The students at Denison Job Corps Center focused on helping their surrounding community on Global Youth Service Day. Several of the parks and recreation areas of the surrounding community were in desperate need of some rehabilitation and clean up. Painters of the Denison Job corps painted the peeks of the Kids Kastle, a favorite play area for the children. Facility Maintenance students picked up debris and provided chemical weed control at Washington Park. A group of volunteers picked up trash and debris from Yellow Smoke Park. Students also cleaned up branches left behind by this past winter’s harshness for the elderly and handicapped of the community. They worked alongside the local fire department and city hall.
