On an early Saturday morning students from the Denison Job Corps and Crawford County Master Gardner’s worked together to remove bushes from the planters on East Broadway and transplant them to the Denison Hillside. After planting was complete, mulch was applied and the area was watered. When the downtown project was completed, students assisted members of the Denison Volunteer Fire Department to clean dirt and debris from the sidewalks using fire hoses. Denison takes great pride in city beautification projects. With the help of the students from Job Corps, the city projects go quicker and make the bigger jobs easier for the master Gardner’s.
