Denison Job Corps Serves Our Serviceman

To honor the brave men and women who served this country through military service, the Denison Job Corps Center hosted a breakfast on November 13th. Our guests were greeted by students of the health sector. After finding a seat, students obtained the soldiers’ names and military branch they served in. This information was then posted on the “Hero’s Wall of Fame.” Soldiers enjoyed a full breakfast which was served to them by students. Stories and experiences were told and retold by the soldiers. Hardship seemed to be part of their job. The students learned that so many of the soldiers returned to their homes with injuries and battlefield scars. VFW hats were proudly worn. Several soldiers are now at a point where canes or assistance of some kind is necessary to get around but each year they look forward to returning to this event. The morning gave the Denison Job Corps Center a chance to say thank you hoping that the soldiers realize the appreciation we have for their service.
