On October 10 and 11, 2015 the Recreation staff along with ten students Volunteered at the Callicoon Art Walk in Callicoon, NY. The students assisted with setting up tents, moving tables, chairs, and bales of hay along with many other tasks. Our Culinary students set up plates of three carrot cakes, three dozen whoopee pies, three dozen chocolate chip cookies, and three dozen oatmeal raisin cookies and other pastries that they had made in class during the week. Some of the students even helped the artists set up the exhibits. Our Carpentry and Facility Maintenance student’s put together the directional signs that were made in trade during the week. Some students sold merchandise for the vendors, gave directions throughout town, and mingled with the locals. On October 11, the students went to the Art Walk to help clean up from the day before.
