On Wednesday, March 30, 2016, we had the great pleasure of having our New York State Congressman from the 19th District, Chris Gibson, visit our Center to attend the quarterly Community Relations Council meeting. In attendance with him, was Paula Brown his Delhi Office Constituent Services Representative and his driver Bill Gonzalez. Congressman Gibson enjoyed the meeting and the opportunity to meet a number of local leaders who were also in attendance. The meeting included the showing of the Delaware Valley Y2Y “One Love” video which moved Congressman Gibson and all in attendance.

At the conclusion of the meeting he expressed his strong support for the program and related that he was currently the National Co-Chair for Job Corps. He thanked and acknowledged the center staff for their dedication to the young men and women that Delaware Valley serves and the center success in recent years.

After the meeting, he toured the dormitories with his staff to view the progress on the multimillion dollar federally funded project to renovate all student living areas that started over a year ago. He was very pleased with what he saw and again commended the center staff on keeping up the great job they are doing. We truly enjoyed having him here and we hope he will return again soon!
