Whitney M. Young Jr. Job Corps Center’s Student Records Manager, Kevin Crittenden was awarded the Shelbyville Area NAACP’s Rev. Robert R. Marshall, Sr. Community and Civic Engagement Award! This award goes to recognize an individual who is actively involved in promoting community engagement, organizing and/or providing resources to meet the needs of the community.
Mr. Crittenden was nominated for the award due to his remarkable dedication, innovation, and enthusiasm for the celebration and education of Shelby County. Mr Crittenden’s nominator mentioned the countless times he has empowered the Martinsville community, the tutoring he has provided to youth that have gone on to become leaders and educators in Shelby County and the work he continues to do to enrich the lives of those in the Whitney M. Young Jr. Job Corps Center Community.
