Two Collbran Job Corps students, Nathan Smithgall and Ron Vester, are employed by the Grand Valley Ranger District, Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre, Gunnison National Forest, on its weeds crew. The students inventory, track and treat current weed infestations. The species are recorded using GPS units and will be entered into the Forest Service database for tracking. Kim Ralston, District Business Manager, said, “Collbran Job Corps students are a valuable asset in our war on invasive species.”
