Gail Dutton, Dietary Manager, La Villa Grand Care Center, Grand Junction, Colorado, said, “Collbran Job Corps students work at our facility as prep cooks. They prepare chefs salads, fresh fruit plates, and sandwiches…’back of the house’ work. The students also take food orders from our residents, and serve the meals.” Dutton describes Collbran Job Corps students as willing to learn more and able to stay on task. “They interact well with the residents,” Dutton said.
La Villa Grande Care Center offers nursing home and rehabilitation care to approximately 90 residents including physical, occupational and restorative therapies, and speech language pathology. It also offers secured Alzheimer’s/dementia care, respite, and long-term care.
