One night a week six to eight Collbran Job Corps students assist in serving dinner, sometimes the only hot meal area migrant workers and their children receive each day. Students also clean-up following the meal. Once a month Collbran Job Corps students assist at the location preparing tamales, which are sold by the Migrant and Children’s Council to assist the organization with expenses. The center has donated computers to the Council and bilingual Collbran Job Corps students assist the Council and other organizations administer surveys and other questionnaires (health related) to the workers to ensure that workers can access needed programs.
