Collbran Job Corps welcomed Jerry Otero, from Senator Mark Udall’s Grand Junction office, as its National Job Corps Commencement Day speaker.
For the first time in Job Corps’ successful 47-year history of serving America’s out-of-school, out-of-work youth, Collbran Job Corps Center, along with 124 campuses across the nation, hosted graduation ceremonies or celebrated Job Corps youth that have already graduated to begin their paths as employable, financially independent members of society. Recent Job Corps graduates employed in Colorado, employer partners, local policymakers, community leaders, parents and many more help Collbran Job Corps make this extraordinary milestone happen in young people’s lives.
Mr. Otero brought best wishes from Senator Udall and spoke highly of Collbran Job Corps students. He mentioned students professionalism, their good manners and the warm welcome he received.
