The Governor’s Summer Job Hunt will present Collbran Job Corps with an award at its 2011 Appreciation Ceremony. “Collbran Job Corps is recognized because of the work the center does to assist young people with marketable skills needed in today’s workforce,” said Julie Berge, Director, Governor’s Summer Job Hunt. “The center provides young people with the environment to develop into confident, creative and intelligent leaders.” Job Corps students and staff will attend the ceremony. “Three of our students will speak at the ceremony describing Job Corps,” said Gove Aker, Center Director. “That makes it a double honor.” Sponsored by the Governor’s Office, the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, Colorado’s Workforce Centers, and KUSA 9News (NBC), the Governor’s Summer Job Hunt has connected over 300,000 young people and employers since 1981.
