Collbran Job Corps students unloaded 20,000 pounds of food items, personal care products and more for Operation Interdependence (OI).  OI is a nationwide 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that provides a means for community members to support troops serving on the frontlines, military families and veterans. Over 2,000,000 troops around the world have received OI® C-rats® from home including those serving in Iraq, Afghanistan, Egypt, Djibouti, Germany and Japan. For many it’s the only communication from home they receive. Only those items that meet the strict standards set by the military and OI are sent to troops on the frontlines. Collbran students have written letters to the troops too.
