Collbran Job Corps student, Michael Brown, has been selected to sing the National Anthem at the National Junior College World Series (JUCO) this month to open the game in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Recently Brown sang at the opening ceremonies for the Denver Regional FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics competitions. Brown participates in choir, on the Drill and Drum Team, Robotics, and has received the highest honor on Collbran Job Corps Center, a Gold Jacket.

Brown joined Job Corps as a “simple electrician” to gain additional training in a hard economy. He’s selected training in Collbran’s CISCO Networking Academy and is enjoying “an exciting life, learning a trade and opening more doors and getting more opportunities to do many great things.”
