Never Give Up Never Quit…and become a RAKTIVIST.  What is a RAKTIVIST and what does a RAKTIVIST do?  Simple.   We randomly spread HOPE and “get caught” providing Random Acts of Kindness.  Encouraging others to never give up and  never quit.  This month of February, here at our Cleveland Job Corps Center, we have initiated a campaign to “get caught”; Committing Random Acts of Kindness all day, every day.  Please join us right there;   right now; where you are at.  On your Center.  Let’s all be radically  encouraged to become  a RAKTIVIST for our Centers across the board and beyond. Let’s make our Centers a better place to be.

This is a call for all students and staff not only here at our  Cleveland Job Corps Center, but right there where you are;  right now, reading this blog.  Then believe and embrace our commitment as RAKTIVIST’s  to ” Never give up Never Quit.   And, Pass it on.   Yesterday, In lieu of students going off Center to commit a Random Act of Kindness, our BCL did precisely that,  on their behalf.  Together with a local business owner of America’s Cheerful Charity who has been practicing Random Acts of Kindness for over 30 years, along with her crew, we were “caught” at the 5th District Police Dept., here in Cleveland, OH,   passing out Random Acts of Kindness to all Police Officers, Chief Officers and Commanders in Chief during their 3’oclock Roll Call.  These public servants were in need of some LOVE.  Big time.  As they had just recently lost one of their members to a Car Jacking killing in December.  While he was off duty.

So, we loaded the truck and  distributed Tee Shirts, Car Air Fresheners, Candy, Gift Cards, book marks, hand sanitizer, a bouquet of flowers, Words of Encouragement, Job Corps Masks’ and the list goes on…we just loved on them. They were like “kids in a candy store”.  We also ministered to them in prayer.  So, there you have it.  This is what a RAKTIVIST does.  They promised to wear our Job Corps mask with pride while on their “beats on the streets”.  And they will share our Job Corps Centers Vision and Mission to  those they encounter,  in our age range served-  and encourage them, to check us out.
