On October 19, 2010 the Cleveand Job Corps Academy joined 200 volunters from Greater Cleveland along with members of the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Clinic employee and staff for the United Way Service of Greater Cleveland to build a playground for Karamu House Day Care Center. Karamu House is one of the oldest African American theaters in the nation. The CJCC students’ picture was featured with students from Cleveland State University and T. J. Ward from the Cleveland Browns in the Cleveland Plain Dealer Newspaper.
