CLEVELAND JOBCORPS /5TH DISTRICT POLICE COMMUNITY RELATION

On Wednesday, October 12, 2016, Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson, Chief of Police Calvin D. Williams, Fifth District Police Commander Dennis S. Hill, Councilman Mike Polensek, Councilman Kevin Conwell, Councilman T.J. Dow and other city officials, gathered at the Cleveland Job Corps Center for the Annual Fifth District Police Com-munity Relation Awards Ceremony. Each year the Cleveland Police Foundation presents police officers, residents and organizations with the Community Service Award for the service and commitment they provide to the community.
The Cleveland Job Corps Center was among the honored guests that received an award. The Community Service Award was presented to Cleveland Job Corps Center for its outstanding leadership and community partnerships within the community. The Center was also acknowledged for the Youth2Youth initiatives, students and staff volunteering to aid with events hosted by the Police Department, hosting beneficial community events on the Center and other many other efforts. Commander Hill thanked the Cleveland Job Corps Center Direc-tor William Houston, for the Centers continued leadership by showing all young people a positive example of citizenship, collaboration, and positive change.
Cleveland Job Corps would like to congratulation all the recipients of the Community Service Award, and thank all that attended.
