Cleveland Job Corps The Sky’s The Limit


After earning his high school diploma from Pike High School located in Indianapolis, Indiana, Ziountae Banks began working odd jobs. Ziountae decided to enroll in Job Corps, he arrived at the Cleveland Job Corps Center on June 8, 2019.

In a year, Ziountae earned his State Tested Nursing Assistant, ServSafe, First Aid, and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation credentials. “My success in the program came from attending the after-school study group that helped me with test-taking anxiety along with State Tested Nursing Instructor Carla Wideners encouragement and support,” acknowledged Ziountae.

“The Cleveland Job Corps is a good program, and it will take you far,” states nineteen-year-old Ziountae Banks.

Upon completing his training at the Cleveland Job Corps Center, Ziountae was accepted into the advanced training Transportation Communications Union (TCU)/IAM program at the Potomac Job Corps Center. He will be pursuing an Airline Transportation certification. Due to the pandemic, Ziountae virtually transferred to the Potomac Job Corps Center and begin his distance learning coursework on December 14. 2020. Once the center reopens to receive students, he will travel to Washington D.C. where the center is located.

After completing the advanced training program, Ziountae plans to move to Newark, New Jersey, to work for Delta and get his own apartment! Congratulations, Ziountae you are on your way!
