Fueled with determination, 18-year-old Kaitlin earned her High School Diploma from Penn Foster and completed the Nursing Assistant trade in a little under six months from the Cleveland Job Corps Center. She also obtained her Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), First Aid, and ServSafe credentials.
Kaitlin appreciates Carla Widener, Nursing Assistant Instructor, Michael Faulkner, High School Diploma Instructor, and Hannah Cavender, Career Transition Readiness Instructor for helping her along the way. “As my teacher,Ms. Widener inspired me to do and be my best in everything,” stated Kaitlin.
Kaitlin is working part-time at Amara Homecare and Mary Glynn Home. She plans to attend Cuyahoga Community College’s (TRI-C) for Veterinarian Technician Program and then transfer to Ohio State University to study Zoology. “I always tell myself to stay motivated, work hard and don’t give up,” explained Kaitlin Martin. “The beginning is always the hardest, but life rewards those who work hard; for nothings worth having comes to you easy.”
