Armed with determination and drive to embark on a new journey, Destiny Penny Mann enrolled in the Medical Assistant trade at the Cleveland Job Corps Center. She earned her high school diploma from Penn Foster in November. Destiny graduated from the Cleveland Job Corps on January 10th, with certifications in Medical Assistant, First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and ServSafe. Destiny often volunteered for functions where she could use her medical assistant skills, like the African-American Male Walk and the Let’s Get Healthy Cardio Vascular Awareness events.
Destiny is employed at Ohio Living Rockynol Retirement community in Akron, Ohio as a State Tested Nursing Assistant. She will begin taking surgical technology classes in the fall. Destiny aspires to become a Physician Assistant.
