On Wednesday, November 2, the Clearfield Job Corps Center in Utah welcomed the Job Corps National Director, Rachel Torres, along with Thony Martino, Dallas Regional Director, to the campus for a tour, visits with students and other exciting events.

Students from Career Preparation, where new students begin their journey, signed on commitment to their education in the Job Corps program in a brief ceremony Ms. Torres attended during the beginning of the tour.

She was able to visit the LETC Automotive program which houses the Toyota T-Ten training. She also visited the Welding and Carpentry trades, where she was presented with a plaque the students made and engraved. She toured support areas of the campus as well. After lunch in the cafeteria, it was time for a career fair.

Employers and community organizations joined the campus event in the afternoon for a career fair in the gym where students showed off their trades with displays, demonstrations and verbal presentations. The students did a phenomenal job educating the visitors on what skill training is available at Clearfield.

We hope to have Ms. Torres visit again soon!
