Gary Vesta comes back to Clearfield
after spending the last four and a
half years as the center director at
Flint Hills Job Corps Center in Manhattan,
Kansas. Mr. Vesta brings a
wealth of experience to Clearfield.
He has been associated with MTC
and the Job Corps program for over
20 years. He has held the positions
of residential advisor, academic
manager, program director and center
director at Flint Hills, Paul Simon,
and Clearfield Job Corps. He graduated
from Kansas State University
with a bachelor’s degree in secondary
education and a master’s in secondary
education curriculum and
instruction. Prior to joining the Job
Corps program, Gary worked at
Kansas State University, taught middle
school social studies and
worked at a special education
school.
Mr. Vesta says he has a learned a
great deal from working in a diverse
environment like Job Corps
and also from having adopted two
children of a different race than
himself. He believes it is our job to
foster the talents and potential of
our students at Job Corps as well
as our own children.
The staff and students at Clearfield
Job Corps Center look forward to
working with Mr. Vesta again.
