Clearfield student becomes first Job Corps Solar success story.

When the Solar 8 program started at Treasure Island Jose Mota was assigned as an interpreter for another student who had joined the program. Jose transferred to the Solar program after completing the electrical trade training program at Clearfield Job Corps.

Jose passed the NABCEP Examination and started to search and apply for a solar job. He accepted one with a company in Novato, CA. Jose Mota returned to Treasure Island November 7, 2011 for a visit with his crew chief who he had translated for while in the program. He has started work on a large utility scale array in Bakersfield with more large arrays in Sacramento, San Diego and New Jersey on the way.

The new company Jose works for is run by three German P.E. engineers for; mechanical, electrical and geologic; giving him, his crew chief and crew the best hands-on experience available in the industry. Jose has exceeded all work goals making good money for himself and profit for his employer. Jose Mota will join his crew chief Jose Max Berrios to start a New Jersey job for 20 MW (twenty million watts per hour) soon helping make history for the first solar class in the history of Job Corps.
