Two Clearfield Job Corps Center
students traveled to Washington,
DC for what can only be called a
life-changing experience.
Dalton Boggs (Composites) and
Megan Potter (Office Administration)
were selected to attend
the week-long Management &
Training Corporation Student
Leadership Conference. The
students met with other youth
from Job Corps centers across
the country to discuss effective
leadership and how they can
positively impact their communities.
During the leadership conference,
the students heard from
new Job Corps National Director
Lenita Jacobs-Simmons and Assistant
Secretary of Labor Portia
Wu.
The students also met Utah congressional
representatives and
legislative staff, including Representative
Mia Love. They
shared their life stories and
spoke about the many opportunities
they have at their fingertips
because of Job Corps. In addition,
Dalton was selected to meet
and introduce U.S. Secretary of
Labor Thomas Perez at the Na-
tional Job Corps Association
50th Anniversary dinner at a
packed house of approximately
1,000 guests and VIP’s everyone
who met our students was
impressed by their professionalism,
drive and commitment to
excelling in life.
Please congratulate Dalton and
Megan for their stellar representation
of Clearfield Job
Corps Center, MTC and the Job
