Silver Medal winners at Cincinnati Job Corps

Students from both the culinary arts and automotive training areas competed in events during the week of April 18th.  A culinary arts student, Steve Workman competed in an American Culinary Federation (ACF) event on April 18th.  The competition was held at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College.  There were 21 others in the competition and many of them were college students completing their associate’s degrees.  Each person worked alone and Steve prepared a rack of lamb and won second place.  The center is very proud of Steve’s accomplishment and his silver medal.

Three students from the automotive technical training program traveled to the Earl C. Clements Job Corps Center for a national competition.  The auto instructor and Career Technical Training  Manager also attended.  There were 17 teams in the competition and the Cincinnati Job Corps Panthers won second place.  The students brought back a trophy and each student also received a silver medal.  The center would like to recognize Daniel Roberts, Terrell Tomlin and Zheng He Guo for their teamwork and accomplishment.  Go Panthers!
