Wa’Keem Shearer completed the Job Corps program in less than a year.  Sometimes it was a struggle for him but he persevered.  Now he is earning $15.27 an hour through the United Brotherhood of Carpenters.  Wa’Keem is on his way to becoming self-sufficient.  The center is very proud of him and his accomplishments.
