Jammal Diehl is 22 years old and a native of Philadelphia, PA. He arrived at the Charleston Job Corps Center on July 28, 2013. Charleston Job Corps Center (CJCC) is operated by Horizons Youth Services for the U.S. Dept. of Labor. Jammal received his High School Diploma through the Penn Foster program and completed Medical Office Support (MOS) at the center.
Mr. Diehl believes in giving back to his community. He participated in class blood drives and the Susan G. Komen Walk for cancer during his time in the program. He acknowledges the efforts of all staff, especially Ms. Preiser, Residential Advisor, Ms. Hodge, Residential Advisor and Ms. Lester, MOS Instructor who refused to let him give up.
Jammal anticipates graduating in the National Job Corps Commencement, August 22, 2014. His future plans are to continue working at ResCare in Direct Care Support, Charleston WV and enroll in WV State University as a Communications Major with a minor in Business Administration. His words of wisdom to current and future Job Corps students is, “the only thing that can stop you, is you. Keep going and never stop.”
