Corey Moles is 18 years old and a native of Ripley WV. He arrived at the Charleston Job Corps Center on March 17, 2014. Charleston Job Corps Center (CJCC) is operated by Horizons Youth Services for the U.S. Dept. of Labor. Corey received a High School Diploma from Mountaineer Challenge Academy, Kingwood WV and learned life skills. He came to Charleston Job Corps Center to train as a Certified Nursing Assistant under the leadership of Ms. Pam Dawson. He holds the highest class average for the trade and completed Work Based Learning at Hospice Care, Charleston WV.
The students at CJCC are encouraged to be leaders and actively engaged during their stay and Corey fulfilled the call. He served as Committee Chairman for Student Government Association (SGA) where he was responsible for all committees, as well as Recreational Aide in the Social Development Department. Corey graduates Tuesday, July 29, 2014 and plans to attend Advanced Training at Cassadaga Job Corps Center, Cassadaga NY for Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). His future plans are to become a LPN, return back to the area, and work for Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC), Charleston WV. Corey’s words of wisdom to current and future Job Corps students are “as long as you never give up, you will always succeed.”
