Charleston Job Corps Students Raising the Bar

Charleston Job Corps Students Raising the Bar

Charleston Job Corps students are doing quite well in their academic achievements.  Charleston Job Corps has hit the ground running by ensuring our students are academically and trade ready when they complete their trainings.

During the month of January, Charleston Job Corps students have raised the bar in their academic achievements.  This is due to the excellent teaching staff, who generally care about our students.  When students are asked about their achievements, they are excited to say that each instructor cares and provides lessons to help them progress in their studies.

Currently, we are rising in our percentages with the Test for Adult Basic Education (TABE).  While our classroom sizes  are smaller, due to following the Center for Disease Control guidelines, each student is able to receive a great deal of one on one sessions during normal class times.   However, an extra boost comes from peer to peer tutoring as well as our Leisure Time Learning efforts.

Charleston Job Corps is a great place for students who did not do well in the regular school system because of the many barriers they may have faced.  Many have faced homelessness, abuse of many kinds and no support to name a few.   Job Corps is, in many cases, a one-stop shop.  Students are able to complete high school and also acquire the necessary skills of the trade of their choice.

Charleston Job Corps Staff, Instructors and Leadership are very proud of our students while they strive for academic success!
