Charleston Job Corps Center’s, February Employee of the Month is Mia Davison, Wellness Secretary. Mia began working at CJCC on January 10, 1996 as a residential advisor at the center downtown. She transitioned to the center “on the hill” and began working as a secretary in the wellness department in 1998. She serves as the dental assistant in the wellness department as well.

A typical day includes “constant multitasking” Davison says. Answering telephone calls, scheduling student appointments on and off center, managing medical files, office mailings, working with doctors and staff and preparing monthly reports keep her busy. She enjoys it! Her belief is, “I’m here for the students. I enjoy working with them and helping them take responsibility for their health.” Her professionalism, work ethic and team spirit make her an asset to the wellness department and center.

Davison believes in personal growth and development. She is enrolled in Florida Tech online to obtain a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration. Mia loves to help others and spend time with her grandbabies in her spare time. What would she like fellow staff, students and our community supporters to know? “I’m proud to work at the Charleston Job Corps Center.” We are proud to have her too.
