CJCC Y2Y Ambassadors & SADD Chapter with KCTC

The Charleston Job Corps Center (CJCC) operating under Horizons Youth Services (HYS) Y2Y Ambassadors and S.A.D.D. (Students Against Destructive Decisions) Chapter students attend the annual holiday event for Kanawha Communities that Care (KCTC), Dec. 8, 2016 at Christ Church United Methodist, 1221 Quarrier St., Charleston WV.

The mission of Kanawha Communities that Care is “To increase awareness of the substance abuse-related problems and issues facing the youth and adults of Kanawha County, and to lead a long-term, dynamic community-wide effort to create a safe and healthy environment for all of our citizens, especially youth, through the development and maintenance of strong interventions that focus on the youth citizens and use scientific, research-based programs and services with measurable outcomes” according to the website www.kanawhactc.org

Job Corps is a no-cost education and career technical training program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor that helps young people ages 16-24 improve the quality of their lives through career technical and academic training. The Charleston Job Corps Center is overseen by the Philadelphia Regional Office of Job Corps and is operated by Horizons Youth Services.
