The Charleston Job Corps Center (CJCC) operating under Horizons Youth Services (HYS) manned the South Charleston High School (SCHS) concession stand with the booster club and volunteers on Friday, October 31, 2014. SCHS vs Huntington High School for the last home football game of the season and CJCC was proud to participate.

CJCC is committed to acclimating students early in the Job Corps program to community service and volunteering in the community. Students working this event have been on center less than two weeks and were excited to participate. They include Eternity Combs, Torrie Jeter, Jamal Pettigrew, Taylor Porter, DeAndre Robinson, Donnell Singleton, Tavon Taliefero, Ryan Johnson, Camyron Miller and were accompanied by Tia Welch, Business Community Liaison.

“Volunteering with the South Charleston High School Athletic Boosters was a positive experience and provided us the opportunity to publicize our program. We appreciate the experience and look forward to working with them again” said Tia Welch, BCL.
