Kaitlan Starcher is a student at the Charleston Job Corps Center from Loudendale, WV. Starcher completed her High School Diploma through the center’s Penn Foster program and career technical trade Facilities Maintenance. In addition, she received her WV Driver’s License while enrolled. Kaitlan is excited about her next chapter in life. She will enroll in Advanced Training at Oneonta Job Corps Center, Oneonta NY for Underground Residential Distribution on January 8, 2018. She will learn how to install underground cabling and receive heavy equipment training. Giving back to community and country is a top priority. She wants to enlist in the U.S. Army after completing advanced training.

Kaitlan has a daughter, Charlee who is 3 years old and wants to better her life for her family. “I want to inspire my daughter to succeed at whatever she wants to do in life” said Kaitlan. My words to current and future Job Corps students is “There will be times of frustration, but remember you came to achieve your goals. Stay focused, be patient and you will succeed.”
