Charleston Job Corps Center Recognizes Student Athlete Kashsean Watkins-April 10, 2017

CJCC Student Kashsean Watkins was recognized during the center’s Monday Business Meeting, April 10, 2017 as an MVP (Most Valuable Player) for his outstanding basketball achievements. Watkins is a member of the CJCC Basketball Team. Coach John Coats, Recreation Advisor has kept track of the students stats while playing which include 200 points for the season, 63 assist, 27 steals, and 54 rebounds. In addition, Aquela Frison (not available) was recognized as Defensive MVP with 125 rebounds and 27 block shots for the season. Both gentlemen received plaques and banners with their names. In honor of student athletic achievement MVP’s will receive a banner with their name on the wall in the center gymnasium.

Job Corps is a no-cost education and career technical training program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor that helps young people ages 16-24 improve the quality of their lives through career technical and academic training. Job Corps is in 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. The Charleston Job Corps Center is overseen by the Philadelphia Regional Office of Job Corps and is operated by Horizons Youth Services.
