The Charleston Job Corps Center was invited to participate in a roundtable discussion, “Building Communities that Trust” Tuesday, March 29, 2016 hosted by the WV Intelligence Fusion Center and Charleston Police Dept. at the Columbia Gas Building, Charleston WV. The event was well attended with representatives from Homeland Security, WV American Water, YWCA of Charleston, Charleston-Kanawha Health Dept. and other organizations. The meeting kicked-off with various presentations on the purpose and mission of fusion centers, civil rights and community policing efforts followed by discussions on diversity, accountability, data integrity, community outreach and collaborations. Tia Welch, BCL represented the center.
