Charleston Job Corps Center hosts 1st blood drive of 2017-Jan. 10, 2017

The Charleston Job Corps Center held its annual blood drive with American Red Cross. The center blood drive is sponsored by the career technical trade of Medical Office Support under the instruction of Jennifer Lester, MOS Instructor. The goal was 25 pints of blood. There were 34 presenting donors and the center collected 27 pints of blood. The blood collected will be used to help save lives of 81 people in our area hospitals in need of blood.

Job Corps is a no-cost education and career technical training program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor that helps young people ages 16-24 improve the quality of their lives through career technical and academic training. The Charleston Job Corps Center is overseen by the Philadelphia Regional Office of Job Corps and is operated by Horizons Youth Services.
