Charleston Job Corps celebrates one of our student’s academic success, as he completes his High School Diploma through Penn Foster’s high school diploma curriculum.

Lester Ray Mays, is so glad to have completed part of the objectives he set out to achieve when he decided to join the Job Corps Program. Lester states, “I am so proud to have accomplished my high school requirements.” Lester did not feel he would ever achieve his high school diploma after dropping out of school. However, since joining the Charleston Job Corps, he says his future certainly looks brighter. Mays is currently enrolled in the Medical Office Support trade with plans of continuing his education in the medical field.

Charleston Job Corps has given millions of youth an opportunity to find their niche and Mays is happy to be one of them.
