Charleston Job Corps was on hand to work alongside the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades and the Salvation Army, two community partners. On Saturday, December 18th, the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades was on hand to man the collection buckets for the Salvation Army. Mr. Jerry Scarbro approached Charleston Job Corps and asked if we would like to donate by having a student man the station for an hour, which we gratefully accepted.
Many bell ringers solicit donations in front of local supermarkets and other regularly trafficked establishments each year. These contributions are utilized to deliver presents and meals to local families in need. Many children and families would not be able to experience the wonders of Christmas without the help of the Salvation Army.
