Cassadaga had a very special guest on center the week of Juneteenth.  Phoenix Capers HBI Plumbing Graduate 2001 made a return trip to share his story with the trainees in the same seats where his career got its start.  Phoenix has had a long successful journey post graduation from Cassadaga.  Veteran, business owner, multiple degree holder, and now a doctoral student who has started a Workforce Development Company.  Phoenix arrived to Cassadaga with his wife and son at his side for a walk down memory lane prior to his presentation.  Each building trade was visited, and Phoenix took the time to speak with our young people and impress upon them the importance of what they are doing here and where Job Corps can take them. Phoenix gave a presentation to staff and trainees revealing what his journey looked like and the hardships he had to overcome to get to the top of the ladder.  Trainees left the presentation inspired and ready for an afternoon field day of fun.
